Decorator’s tips
■ Secure a convenient holder to a wall or inside a cupboard
for your mop, broom and duster. Choose a spot where they will
be least visible from an open doorway, if possible.
■ Save floor space with a front-loading washing machine
and wall-mount your dryer. If you do have a top-loader, make
sure you leave adequate clearance between it and the dryer,
so you can easily open the washer’s lid.
■ Assemble a cleaning kit for your laundry that includes all
the essentials, so you’re never without the right solution for
stains (see Stain Removal Kit, over page).
■ Ensure your laundry has good ventilation. An exhaust
fan reduces humidity and removes heat.
